Anti-piracy group Brein will use its own software to detect frequent uploaders of copyrighted material. At the moment preparations are being made to introduce the programme later this year, Brein director Tim Kuik told Tweakers.

Brein waited for the introduction of the GDPR data privacy law to introduce the software. It will focus at first on large uploaders. According to Kuik, there is a large group of users of exchange platforms that serve as a source. It is not yet clear who is or is not covered by 'frequent uploaders'.
