DC Officially Releases Trailer for ‘Suicide Squad’ Following Pirated Leak!

The only version of the trailer for "Suicide Squad" fans not present at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 have seen was a pirated copy taken from a cell phone while the trailer was premiering to an excited audience at the event.

The pirated leak online has prompted Sue Kroll, President of Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, to go ahead and release the high-quality version of the trailer, although the film is still not finished, according to Deadline.

The pirated copy was a lousy mess online that boasted low quality content captured on what appeared to be a cell phone that was recording during the trailer's debut at SDCC 2015. This new high-quality trailer gives fans a crystal clear look at the film trailer and it was an exciting piece to say the least.

Kroll released a statement on the illegal leak of the trailer Monday:

"Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the 'Suicide Squad' footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation."

There were several trailers leaked from SDCC last weekend, including those for the upcoming "Batman v Superman," "Deadpool" and "The Walking Dead" movies and TV shows.

"Deadpool" is the only project that has not responded with a high-quality trailer release of its own yet.

See the "Suicide Squad" trailer the way it was meant to be seen in the beginning, with high quality video, below.
