If you've logged onto the Internet in the past few days, chances are you must be aware that not only is Game of Thrones Season 5 releasing this week, but anonymous over-enthusiastic GOT fans have also made the first 4 episodes available to be downloaded online illegally through pirated torrents.

Ahead of the premiere on Monday, four episodes of the season have been leaked effectively changing the first Monday morning question on the subject from "Who do you think will die this time?" to "Did you see episode 2?"

Now, anti-piracy firm Irdeto has revealed that Game of Thrones is the most pirated television show in the world.

Torrent stats have revealed that it is the most downloaded show so far, and has been in 2014 as well. There have been 116,000 illegal downloads per day of Game of Thrones episodes.

The findings also indicate a 45 percent increase in piracy worldwide from 2014, with episodes of Game of Thrones (seasons 1-4) illegally downloaded more than 7 million times between February 5 and April 6, 2015.
