Customs said today they had seized about 6,000 pirated goods, worth about HK$850,000 in market value, at the Customs Cargo Examination Compound, River Trade Terminal in Tuen Mun on Monday.

Officers inspected a 40-foot container from Huangpu, Guangdong Province destined for Chile and found the pirated goods. No one has been arrested yet.

Customs also arrested four men, aged between 31 and 59, in an anti-piracy operation in Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok yesterday. They raided four shops and seized 18,000 pirated optical discs, mainly popular movies and drama series, and about 14,000 obscene optical discs, worth about HK$900,000.
