Dutch anti-piracy group Brein said it reached an agreement to end a trade in stolen log-in credentials. After addressing the 26-year-old from Zwolle, Netherlands, he agreed to pay EUR 10,000 and stop the illegal trade.

The man was found to be buying stolen emails and passwords on hacker forums, in order to use these to gain access to legal streaming services. He then offered these 'subscriptions' for sale online, at a fraction of the standard price.

Brein contacted several hundred people affected so they could change their passwords.
