Hiring Torrent Moderators

We are in need of new torrent moderators to help us moderate all new site uploads. This involves checking if new uploads follow our rules and, if not, file a torrent report that notifies the uploader how to proceed.

More specifically, we are looking for users that

• have a good track record on the site,
• have the time and interest in taking the position - expect around one hour per day on average,
• are willing to be on IRC,
• are meticulous,
• are familiar with our upload rules or willing to learn them by heart,
• are patient and willing to help out our users when they make mistakes.

If you think the role is for you and have been a member of the site for at least 1 year, you may apply by submitting a StaffPM with all details you may find relevant. Make sure to direct it to Staff, not First Line Support. At the minimum you should respond to the following questions:

• Why do you want the position?
• How much time are you able to spend on moderating duties?
• Which hours do you expect to be active (include your timezone) and are you willing to be on IRC during these?
• What is your experience with uploading torrents, reading MediaInfo output and creating screenshots?

If you're picked for the position, we will make sure to give you the proper training.
