Apollo is not dead, I repeat, APOLLO IS NOT DEAD!

​There is a backup and O and W have it. They are currently not able to contact me (I don't know the exact circumstances, but I have had some very limited contact with O the past few days) but I am very sure that they will do so in the near future. When they do, I will try to obtain this database backup (which I presume to be very recent) and the domain, and resume APL with my own server infrastructure. I do not know how long it will take before I hear from them, but I think it will be within a week. (However I can make no promises).

​Please keep all Apollo torrents in your client, as you might need them again, and remain hopeful. I will make a new thread when we have more important news. For now, please hang on tight and don't stop believin'.

nope. maybe they will lose some members but even then there will be many new users looking to join.

This is not the first time they almost lose everything by not paying for backup service. Most of the hardcore users already left Apollo, half of the torrents will be dead when/if they come back. The best that can happen from this is to save at least a half of the database by re-uploading it to the other trackers.

most of the users are not hardcore users. some of us just want a place to share music. when it's down i use rutracker or something else. apl had a good community + a great bp system. I have high hopes for APL.

I agree.
Even with all their issues with servers and such, they are still the second best music tracker IMO (just after Red).
My ~300 torrents are patiently on the client waiting for their return.

Best luck for them.

I lost all my hope. Apollo's downtimes make it be a stranger to me
P/S: If it will be stable for a long time in future, I will consider using it again. Perhaps a change in owner may help or at least other staff must have access to paying the server bills or to emergency measures when necessary.
