Two Australian courts have handed down rulings instructing telecoms companies and ISPs to block 59 websites and 127 domains.

The move is aimed at clamping down on online piracy.

In the first case, filed by Village Roadshow, the court ordered 42 websites to be blocked – which included sites that show users how to evade legal action when pirating.

The second case was filed by Foxtel, and resulted in 17 websites receiving a block order.

All affected telecommunications companies and Internet service providers have 15 business days to comply with the orders.

The blocked sites include PrimeWire, MegaShare, Limetorrents, Project Free TV, Watch Series, PutLocker, EZTV, The Pirate Bay, and GoMovies.
