The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police has arrested nine people and registered six cases in connection with the Great Grand Masti online leak.The soon to release Indra Kumar’s multi starrer, sex comedy film Great Grand Masti is the third installment in the Masti franchise and made headlines when it got leaked online.

The film was leaked on Monday, with a high-definition print along with full credit titles and with watermark ‘censor’ can also be seen on the print. The latest development in the case is that the Crime Branch has arrested nine people under the Copyright Act in tandem with the leak.

The officers also said that there are a total of six incidents which are registered under Copyright Act. The exact reason behind the crime was not disclosed or announced by the Crime Branch Officer.

Experts believe that with because of the wide range of torrent and increased internet accessibility, the future of films is doomed until and unless the makers of the film take stringent action. There are no police complaint filed by the makers of Great Grand Masti yet.

Great Grand Masti is likely to suffer a lot as there are still couple of days left for the movie to hit the screen.... The producers and makers were shocked by the leak, as it will directly effect the box office revenue.

Even the last film of Balaji Motion Pictures, Udta Punjab was leaked online a day prior to its release. The Mumbai police has arrested an owner of a torrent site last week in the same case.

Great Grand Masti features Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Urvashi Rautela in the lead roles. The film was earlier scheduled for a worldwide release on July 22, but now because of the online leak, the film will be hitting the screens a week earlier on July 15.
