    Make your own seedbox!!

So I found this on my long search for the perfect seedbox that i could run of my own.
It’s a simple script that you run as root on a clean install of any supported os
    It will work on Ubuntu 14.04, 15.10 and 16.04 || Debian 7 & 8

You can find so much more info on it here:
    Github
Install from here this is place to get all help with it.
    support forum

if you do make an account on site would be nice to see my name mentioned good or bad
quickbox wants to know what you think about it. and i want to see how many take my advice and try it out
I don't get paid and i do not get anything other than a thanks, so come by and say hi, explore, post something if you want.

so you get a server and or a VPS there are many out there so good luck finding one you like
when you get one they give you a root login and you can long in it with putty.
when you do that make sure you are at root directory
copy and paste this and hit enter

    apt-get -y update; apt-get -y upgrade; apt-get -y install git lsb-release; \
git clone --recursive https://github.com/QuickBox/QuickBox QuickBox &&
    bash ~/QuickBox/setup/quickbox-setup

After your system updates itself it will run though some questions which are pretty straight forward
Answer them, when you're all done you will end up with a beautifully made seedbox with lots of features
    -rutorrent
    -Deluge
    -autodl
    -csf
    -plex
    -quassel
    -rapidleech
    -sickrage
    -sonarr
    -x2go
    And… more to come.

This script allows easy use for multi users
Also it's simple to use. Try it you will not ever want another one.

Thanks for the post, It is a nice idea, and that is what I do actually, I have a root control over a VPS and I am using it as a seedbox along with doing some other stuff.

I would like to point out something, you know with power comes great responsibility, and when you have your VPS or server exposed to the internet, many script kiddies, automated scripts etc ... will try to gain access over your machine. I monitor the logs on my machine all the time and I get brute force attacks frequently, people try to access the machine over SSH (putty or other) or if you set a vnc server they might just try a great combination of passwords to access your machine, it happened to me that I had a vnc server running on my machine and it blocked all the connection to the VPS because of the great number of not authorized people trying to connect and the authentication is failing.

So what I would like to say, its true that having a VPS or a server is so much fun and gives you so much power but at the same time one should be always alert about possible attacks trying to hack in the machine.

yes at first i thought what could be installed with this script but the fact is everything is open. you can go through and look at all the script and anything it adds.
every change to the logs are really really complete nothing added or removed from script without it being added to log shortly after.
I love this script it's the only reason i am sharing it and i found it right as it came out so i got to see it grow and wow it has grown in a short time just today a update was posted that put most of the packages on there. most things right now are setup for master account but it's still growing soon more things will be for all users.
but i will say the support on the forums is unmatched daily replies, from the stupid questions all the way to the advanced questions. the project needs more developers to join in and make it better. the best reason to use this script is i have yet to find one like it and with as much help for it.
mind you I do not program but i do know how to break things including this script lol so i have a lot of posts on the site XD and i'd also like to add this is just me getting more recognition for the project. My way of seeing it (more people = Greater growth in project)

i have yet to have anyone try and hack my servers. but then again why would they lol

@Dtech I had tested quickbox script few month back, interface & features are good but command use to work only for few minutes after reboot then all get unrecognized by system. Don't know if they updated it & resolved those issues. If you are using it can you confirm it functionality?

As of now i can say all commands have been updated and are working there also was added a update button added for easy updates and i can tell you it works beautifully. just in the last 2 weeks lot of changes have happened. I honestly will say give it another chance and i'm willing to bet you won't regret it.

First off, thank you @Dtech for posting up on QuickBox! Really appreciate your ongoing support.

Next, thank you for the compliment on the UX @DGM. It's a solid labor of love and I wouldn't be doing it if the community wasn't so great.

Now... the issue with the commands has been solved 10-fold and I can confirm that many many issues that did exist are no longer present. As we are adding in new features, there may be some surprising and unexpected anomalies that occur. For the most part, the stability of QuickBox is to it's best levels yet. There are still a few minor nuances that are here and there, however, updating is now easier than ever (rolling commit updates) and overwriting important widget data (like that of /home mounted partitions versus /(root) mounted partitions are non-existent)

The QuickBox ecosystem has been completely re-tooled and is much snappier than in the past as we are now working on PHP 7 and memcached.

I would say give it another shot and you'll undoubtedly be pleasantly surprised.
