Awesome guide @Axort I have tried K-lite packs earlier but now I'm using SMPlayer because of one annoying thing in MPC. Sometimes when playing a movie or a tv-show. The screen goes green and computer hangs. Don't know if it is MPC causing it but now with SMPlayer this never occur.

@HarryBosch - i never had any problems with MPC-HC so far, i can't give any advise how to fix it. Maybe other drivers or directx or vcredist could need an update ...

All drivers are the latest maybe its my AMD Radeon graphics card that doesn't like MPC Sticking with SMPlayer as it works without errors.

@HarryBosch - i coudl be the case your AMD card might be the source for the problem, but i always used Nvidia cards, so i can't say much about AMD

Very good tutorial @Axort for one of the best players. I am already using most of the settings you recommended, but i will try some more tweaks i have read on your tutorial.

@trackerup - thanks the madVR settings are very easy to understand i think, you only need some time to read through, with a fast PC you can simply go for all maximum settings, if its an older PC, some testing could be an idea, but overall madVR does a very good job even with lower settings.

there are just a few options when it is not directly about higher quality or processing power that is required, like the artefact things and some other stuff, but the differences are not really huge for those, i guess its good to find settings you can use for almost all the content you wish to watch over time.
