Simple as this:
$ wget -O speedtest-cli https://raw.github.com/sivel/speedte...eedtest_cli.py
$ chmod +x speedtest-cli
$ ./speedtest-cli

Mine were with Seedboxes.cc:

You dont need root access to your seedbox. Only applying execute rights for the script, as you can see im not using sudo and i dont have "#" front of the line.

you only need to have ssh access to your seedbox.

The file speedtest_cli.py has been deprecated in favor of speedtest.py
and is available for download at:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/si...r/speedtest.py

Just change the first step from
$ wget -O speedtest-cli https://raw.github.com/sivel/s...st-...eedtest_cli.py

To

$ wget -O speedtest-cli https://raw.githubusercontent.com/si...r/speedtest.py
