If you’re one of the people who doesn’t like the inbuilt Windows 10 features such as Cortana and Windows Defender, then a stripped-down Windows 10 ISO is made for you. Created by a Notebook Review forum member, ISO removes various inbuilt apps, and it can be activated using a genuine Windows key.
Everyone wants their system to be free of unwanted apps, commonly known as bloatware. Even Microsoft has realized this, and they have included the Fresh Start feature in the Windows 10 Creators Update.

The Fresh Start feature reinstalls Windows 10 Creators Update and removes all the software included by the manufacturer. But for some people, even the inbuilt apps are a kind of bloatware. That’s why a NotebookReview forum member Pheonix has created a completely stripped ISO of the Windows 10 Creators Update 1703.

In order to achieve a true bloatware-free experience, all the tracking features, widely criticized by users, along with various system apps and components have been ditched. Here is the list of the removed items:

  • Cortana
  • Telemetry (Windows tracking features)
  • System Restore
  • Windows Store Apps (with an exception of Xbox and OneDrive)
  • Windows Store App associations.
  • Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer
  • Home Group
  • Windows Defender



However, the modified ISO includes some add-ons that don’t come pre-loaded with Windows 10, namely, the Windows 7 calculator app, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, and DirectX 9.

How to download Windows 10 Creators Update Bloatware Free Edition


Before installing an unofficial ISO, you need to keep in mind that it might run into problems due to lack of internal components. Also, you shouldn’t expect any support from Microsoft in this case.

The modified ISO contains both Home and Pro editions of the Windows 10 Creators Update which can be easily activated using a product key.

Pheonix has uploaded the ISO on Google Drive and MajorGeeks. After downloading the ISO, you can create a bootable USB using one of these tools and install Windows 10 on your machine. As said earlier, a genuine Windows product key would work.
