The world of video recording and playback has substantially evolved in ten years. Big, robust cameras got smaller and smaller, with a recording device now as big as a shirt button.

Quality also got to benefit greatly from this technological evolution. Huge resolutions now display stunning videos, and virtual reality headsets make you feel like you’re in the middle of the action. Some clips are used to express days, weeks, or months of motion in only a few seconds.

So with all the devices set up and configured, one needs proper computer applications for releasing a final, clean product. Apart from Windows, Microsoft creates a lot of other programs, and for video editing, the one described below is sure to come in handy.
Speed up any video

Step 1: Download, install, and run Microsoft Hyperlapse Pro.

Step 2: Click on the New button in the upper left part of the interface to Create a New Project.

Step 3: Choose the video you want to edit and press Open. Note that it must be under formats like MP4, MOV, or WMV.

Step 4: Crop the video by settings start and end points. This is done either by writing values in corresponding fields, or moving the two sliders on the progress bar.

Step 5: Press Next to go to Settings. Pick a camera model and shooting mode, speed up factor, smoothing method, and press Next to have the video processed.

There aren’t any filters or effects to apply. Microsoft’s Hyperlapse Pro is only a neat way of speeding up videos while keeping the quality intact, as well as transitions between frames.
