YULIA Skripal, the poisoned daughter of Russian ex-spy Sergei, has been discharged from hospital.

The 33-year-old had been in hospital since March 4, after she and her former Russian agent father, were found sprawled on a park bench in the historic English city of Salisbury.

The pair had been exposed to the toxic nerve agent novichok in an attack allegedly carried out by Russian agents.

The nerve agent is thought to have been smeared hours earlier on the handle of Mr Skripal’s front door at his home on the edge of the city.

Moscow has denied any involvement and accused the British Government of inventing a “fake story”.

Ms Skripal was discharged from Salisbury District Hospital on Monday and taken to a secure location, the BBC reports.

Her 66-year-old father remains in hospital but his condition is “improving rapidly”.

In a statement last week Ms Skripal said she was getting stronger every day and the hospital said she could look forward to being discharged.

More to come
