THE QUEEN held her nose when a Shetland pony did a poo in front of her yesterday.

Her Majesty, 92, pinched one of her nostrils in a bid to avoid the almighty pong near the gates of Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

A three-year-old steed had shunned royal protocol by defecating and leaving a pile of manure within breathing distance of the monarch.

The beast, who serves as the regimental mascot of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, has crossed paths with the her before.

Last year the Queen told him to “go away” when he tried to nibble her bunch of flowers during a visit to Stirling Castle in Scotland.
