A WOMAN was left horrified after a private video of her performing a sex act was posted to Facebook by the man she had sent it to.

Kevin William Hughes was branded "cruel" by his victim after he agreed it was for his eyes only.

Hughes, 32 - who put the video on social media twice - admitted harassment and posting a sexually explicit image online.

The woman - who cannot be named for legal reasons - said in her statement to Mold crown court: "I cannot believe that he could be so cruel".

The court heard the woman had trusted him, but now said she would never be so stupid again, The Daily Post reports.

Judge Niclas Parry said: "One can only hope that this kind of case will send out a warning to others of the dangers of sharing sexual images of themselves with anybody, even people they trust at the time.”

He added that it was a serious misuse of social media which was “easily done but which can lead to significant distress".

Hughes, of Aberffraw, Wales, was given an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to carry out 180 hours unpaid work and attend a 35-day course organised by the probation service.

He must pay £500 compensation to the victim and £675 prosecution costs.
