As the US and China continue to clash over trade, US President Donald Trump's top economic advisor, Larry Kudlow, says The White House has taken towards setting up a meeting between Mr Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Mr Kudlow says both leaders are trying to see if they can meet in Argentina at the G-20 summit next month.

Mr Kudlow has said that while neither the talks nor the topics the leaders would address have been set in concrete, it is expected that they will try to ease trade tensions.
