So i purchased a Samsung galaxy s3 from my provider and was impressed by pretty much every aspect of the phone, Screen size, Able to use 4G LTE and many other features. So naturally i was excited and was curious to see what my friend that uses a iphone 4s thought. Well it wasn't so positive..

His complaints about it at first glance was it was "Too big" and made a joke saying it was of a size of a brick then carried on to say how the iPhone is more superior to the s3 just cause of design. Again this is coming from a guy who not into the phone market nor doesn't care about specs but just design. Then he goes on to say that samsung is unoriginal piece of shi*.

So naturally i was a tad bit pissed since he hasn't even used the phone but judging it by its cover and not really seeing what samsung has done with there S3.

So what do you guys think about this? Is he right or is he a complete tard?

I'm a total iPhone freak so I have to agree with your friend, if I wanted a tablet I'd buy an s3: )

Tacodawg , in my opinion the s3 has way better features , but the iphone has a good luck and it has a good second market too. whereas s3 is hard to sell in sri lanka , people who bought s3 are trying to sell it at a loss. i myself am confused .




good you brought this up , i am planning to buy a new phone , but i am not sure which to buy the s3 or the iphone 4s , i live in sri lanka so SRI is no use .
i need some advice .

iPhones are just better built, it's that simple.

Apple software and hardware is far superior to anything else and always has been, the S3 was modeled on the iPhone 4S, samsung even went as far as to have blueprints and checklists to mirror the iPhone as much as possible and as far as I know there is a current lawsuit filed buy apple taking samsung to court.

If the S3 was any better than the 4S then why would they feel the need to copy apple in such a way?

IMO i think the s3 is much more user controllable then the iphone. The iphone sure you can change apps around in the home screen and add a custom background but it feels limited. Even if its jailbroken its still limited. On android however its pretty much all open. You can add live backgrounds, change the font of your phone and customize the size of the font, You can use (in most android devices) a mirco sd in which you can expand the memory of the phone and even more. Im sure there's a app on the app store to do what i just stated but on android it comes pre-loaded. Plus on android there's way more affordable phones out there. Here in canada iphone's are expensive as hell and most people switch to android for it's much cheaper.

And about that last statement about the 4s and the s3, I think samsung did in fact copy them but apple has copy android in the past like the notification bar and android having a thing like siri first (which i don't know too much about so i could be wrong).

Twlights there both great phones and each are for different users. I recommend going to your provider in sir lanka and trying out both phones and seeing what you like more

Finally decided to go for the S3.

I think Iphone is the best phone ever software and hardware too i do lots of things on iphone much more s3 I mean after jailbrokin you are in control of every single detail of your iphone one melion thing you can do. the programs support too maybe the style is not the best like 3g which i think its cooler than 4g and 4gs but in the end i will never leave apples phone ever no matter what samsung do lol. xoxo

i have s3 and its great.

They are both good phones. I much prefer the screen image quality on the iPhone, and the smaller size too, but the S3 is lighter and cheaper (afaik). Each to their own.
