ANOTHER West Australian has contracted measles while holidaying in Bali, prompting health authorities to remind people to get vaccinated before heading overseas.

Medical epidemiologist Dr Gary Dowse said there had been more than 20 separate “importations” of measles from Bali to WA since 2013, including two cases in the past week and seven cases last year.

This is more cases than any other overseas travel destination.

People could have been exposed to the most recent case at the following locations in Perth:

· Connolly Drive Medical Centre in Butler: March 17, 10:15–11:15am; March 18, 8:30–9:45am; and March 20, 9:00-10:30am.

· Butler Health Pharmacy on March 17, 10:45-11:30am.

· Joondalup Hospital emergency department on March 18, 9:15am-5:00pm.

Dr Dowse said anyone who suspected they might have measles should call ahead so they could be isolated when arriving at the GP surgery or emergency department.
