It was not exactly a smooth ride at the flight attendants’ instant restaurant on My Kitchen Rules.

Chris and Lesley were the latest team to plate up their three-course menu on Sunday night.

And while they fared reasonably well when it came to points, tension around the table continued to spark.

Controversial Christian missionary Josh brought up WA couple Karito and Ian’s disastrous cook-up from the previous episode, forcing the other contestants into revealing their true feelings about the dishes.

While Peruvian food blogger Andy had been outspoken about her distaste for the meal, her friendship with Karito meant she stayed silent - but Josh kept pushing for a fight between the pair.

Karito attempted to keep the peace.

“Josh I know you are fishing for something but we respectful of everybody’s opinions...don’t even go there, because I don’t care,” she said.

Next in Josh’s firing line was Ibby, who it was recently revealed owns two cafes and a restaurant.

Josh questioned whether the fact that he could call up his chefs for advice was an advantage, to which Ibby replied: “Let’s just put this to bed once and for all. I really need to make it clear to you guys…”

Josh interjected: “I don’t think we will ever be in bed.”

Ibby fired back: “I don’t care about you to be honest. You are the last person on the table I care about.

“I didn’t lie when I applied to this show. I applied like all of you...we have a lot less time to cook than a lot of people because I am running a business.”

As Josh and his brother Austin continued to probe, Ibby’s teammate Romel lost his cool.

“He has clearly said to you that he’s not a f...ing chef, so what’s the issue,” Romel said.

WA’s Blake described the sparring as a “pissing contest”.

Luckily, the drama around the table didn’t translate to the kitchen, with Chris and Lesley scoring a respectable 82 out of 130 points for their instant restaurant.

Their lobster and herb tortellini with burnt butter sauce was awarded perfect 10s from the judges.

“You said you would deliver first class,” Manu Feildel said.

“Frankly, you definitely did. It’s absolutely delicious. I can’t fault it at all, I can’t find anything negative to talk about.

“I think it is probably the best pasta we have ever had for the last 10 years. From the bottom of my heart, this is restaurant quality.”

The main, braised rabbits and prunes with goats cheese custard and baby carrots, did not fare so well, with the “tough” rabbit spoiling the dish.

However, the duo brought it come with their Campari and orange cake for dessert.

“Campari is a drink that can be polarising because it is intense in flavour,” Pete Evans said.

“I tell you what, that cake was simply divine. But, and there is a big but, that cream needed sweetness.”

Josh was not a fan, though, spitting out his cake into a napkin.

“This is not food, it is a cleaning product,” he said.
