A trio of Florida teens, including a pair of brothers, robbed a man at gunpoint after setting up a transaction for a $120 vaping device on Snapchat, police said.

The victim told police in Cape Coral that he arranged to buy a vape pen on Snapchat via a third party and agreed to meet the seller in front of his home early Wednesday. The victim hopped into a minivan that pulled up and the driver, who was identified by police as 16-year-old Tristan Held, then pointed a handgun at him before demanding his wallet and phone, police said.

A passenger in the back seat, Ernesto Hernandez, 16, also pulled out a gun and aimed it at the man, who immediately turned over his cash, wallet and a cellphone before running back inside his home and calling 911, police said.

Responding officers later caught up with the teens when a sergeant spotted a silver Chrysler Town and County minivan stopped in the median of a roadway near the victim’s home. One of the teens, police said, was searching for something in the grass before driving off.

The teens were later pulled over by police and the victim positively identified them as the suspects who had just robbed him at gunpoint. Two other handguns and an unspecified amount of cash were also found inside the minivan, police said.

Held’s brother, Aiden, 14, was sitting in the front seat at the time of the robbery, according to investigators. All three teens were slapped with charges of robbery with a firearm and grand theft before they were taken into custody at the Juvenile Assessment Center, Cape Coral police said.
