For me it was Torrentbits run by Redbeard who's Torrentbits tracker source code became the de facto source code for most of the torrent sites. You still see it referenced in the foot notes of sites like HDbits. Torrentbits closed and reopened as Torrentbytes minus Redbeard. Torrentbytes has been going 9 years and Torrentbits a few years before that so that makes it ..... err I have run out of fingers.
