JEREMY Corbyn’s main union backer stepped up Labour’s anti-Semitism row by branding Jewish groups “hostile”.

Unite boss Len McCluskey accused the Jewish community of dismissing the Labour chief’s efforts to “build bridges”.

He urged Jewish leaders to “engage in dialogue” before bad blood “becomes entrenched”.

It follows Mr Corbyn’s refusal to apologise for appearing to lay a wreath honouring Palestinian terrorists.

The Board of Deputies of British Jews called Mr McCluskey’s attack “unfair and unwarranted”.

Labour MP Ian Austin said it was “disgraceful”.
