Ultimate Software ULTI+0.74% a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that it has been ranked #4 on the 2018 Workforce 100 list, created by Workforce magazine. The worldwide Workforce 100 scores and ranks companies that perform best in seven core areas: workplace culture, employee benefits, diversity and inclusion, employee development and talent management, human resources innovation, leadership development, and talent acquisition.

“We believe that the most important component of business success is a culture that focuses on your people, and we are honored to be recognized as one of the top companies in the world for HR today,” said Vivian Maza, chief people officer at Ultimate. “Taking care of our people has been Ultimate’s top priority from day one. Through our ‘People First’ core philosophy, we’ve focused on fostering a positive, productive environment where our employees can do their best work—developing innovative HR solutions, providing personalized customer support, and bettering others in our community.”

Now in its fifth year, the Workforce 100 recognizes companies that excel in HR over the course of a year. To determine which companies make the list, Workforce editors work with researchers from the Human Capital Media Advisory Group, the publication’s research arm. The ranking is based on public data from a representative list of established benchmarking and ranking programs in the identified categories, and a partnership with job-review website Glassdoor to include data on employee satisfaction in key areas. This methodology allows researchers to generate a score based equally on depth and breadth of outside recognition and internal recognition. This year’s Workforce 100 alsoincludes such leading companies as Amazon, Nike, Apple, and Netflix.
