TWO US Air Force personnel fly by the seat of their pants — dangling their legs from the rear exit of a military plane.

The male and female crew’s daring high jinks came as their Hercules aircraft carried out exercises.

Mr Smith, who took the images, described capturing the officers over the edge of the jet as "awesome".

He said: "I couldn't believe it, it was amazing. It looks like they were on a training exercise and the lady on the left looks like she's having a nice time. Sometimes they have training sessions and rides around here but I've never seen anything like this before. It just looked like they were having a little joyride."
