Controversial WA blogger Constance Hall has attracted an avalanche of online support with a furious rant about the inequality of parenthood she says has pushed her marriage “to the absolute edge”.

The Margaret River-based mother-of-five told her 1.2 million Facebook followers that, despite followers heaping praise on her “hands on” husband Denim Cooke, having a baby had put a huge strain on their young marriage.

“The minute the baby came out, I became the ball and chain,” she wrote.

“Coming somewhere with me became a chore, holding the baby a favour. We went from being inseparable - our saying was ‘where you go I go’ - to Christmas holidays with 2 trips apart already.”

In a typically frank post, which was accompanied by a picture of her breastfeeding her youngest son Raja, she reveals her loneliness and having to scramble through chores while “his royal highness slept in for the 340th time this year”.

“Is this what equality looks like? You have a baby and you become insect repellent to husbands?

“Women are now allowed to work for a sh---ier wage and then come home and still squeeze in all the work we had to do in the 50s? Breast feed the baby and cook and would you like a free f---ing b---w job with all of that entitlement sir?” she wrote.

“So thank you for giving me some superficial gratification when telling me that we are couple goals but in the spirit of honesty, having a baby is one thing, sharing that baby is a completely different story.”

However, Hall insists her rant should not be seen as “man bashing” and she and Cooke still have a loving marriage, despite her frustrations.

The post appears to have resonated with her huge internet following and is one of her most popular posts in recent history, being shared more 11,000 times.

“Spot on Constance! Women are expected to work like we don’t have children and raise children like we don’t have to work,” wrote Rebecca Callow.

“I used to get ‘oh that’s so great that your partner is babysitting so you can go out with your friends’. Ummm excuse me. It’s HIS kid too mother f---er. It ain’t babysitting, it’s parenting!” Tracey Davis wrote.

The rant is the second time Hall has publicly taken aim since the pair married in January.

In July, Hall blasted Cooke for only helping out with their son when asked.

“My husband will happily bath him, or cuddle him.. when he’s asked. When my husband is holding him friends ask to take over, if he cries... they give him back to me.

“When he’s smiling my husband picks him up, when he’s grumpy he gives him back,” she wrote.

The couple have seven children between them - Hall has four children from her previous marriage, while Cooke has two children.
