President of the US, Donald Trump, did not plan to contact Vladimir Putin over the phone in connection with his victory in the presidential elections in Russia. This was reported in the White House with reference to journalists of the pool, who communicated with the assistant to American leader Hogan Gidli.

"He said that he is aware of Putin's recent victory in the elections, but there are no calls between Trump and Putin," the correspondents of the pool report after the meeting.

Reaction of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko questioned the legitimacy of the presidential elections in Russia and called on the international community to increase pressure on Moscow. The French Foreign Ministry and the Polish Foreign Ministry also denied the elections on the peninsula.

The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, in response, said that the Kiev authorities are talking about the Crimea with cliches, hence the refusal to recognize the results of presidential elections on the peninsula.

"They are already so far behind our life and transformations, that people with whom I communicate on the street, just laugh," said Konstantinov.

The position of Western countries on the elections in the Crimea Konstantinov explained solidarity. "The West is in agreement with the crimes that were committed in Ukraine, and there is still a lot of international proceedings ahead, which is necessary to hold on this part," the parliamentarian stressed.

Results of the presidential elections

Elections of the head of state were held on March 18. The incumbent President Vladimir Putin wins with a result of 76.68% following the processing of 99.94% of the protocols of precinct election commissions, according to the CEC.

On the second place was Pavel Grudinin with a result of 11.78%, at the third - Vladimir Zhirinovsky (5.65%). Ksenia Sobchak takes fourth place with a result of 1.68%, Grigory Yavlinsky - in fifth place with 1.05%. Boris Titov is gaining 0.76%, Maxim Suraykin - 0.68%, Sergei Baburin - 0.65%.
