A THUG boyfriend forced his girlfriend to write her own suicide note before threatening to CRUCIFY her for 'checking out men on the telly'.

Callum Bigley held his partner prisoner and tortured her during a three day ordeal in her own home.

The 32-year-old whipped her and said: "You're going to be like Jesus Christ on the crucifix."

The Liverpool Echo reports Bigley hit his victim with a phone and attacked her using knuckledusters and a hammer.

Liverpool crown court heard he accused her of "checking out men on the telly" and that he wrapped a TV cable around her neck so she couldn't breathe.

Prosecutor Edmund Haygarth said the mum-of-two was "genuinely afraid it [murder] might come to pass".

Twisted Bigley also told her to write a suicide note as he planned to hang her to make it look like she had taken her own life.

He even wore the keys to home in Liverpool round his neck after locking all the doors and windows.

She managed to escape by throwing a hoover through the living room window.

Bigley was found guilty of false imprisonment, actual bodily harm, and beating, and one of sending a "malicious communication."

A judge sentenced him to nine years behind bars and a restraining order was also imposed.
