It might have been windows XP build 2505.. I think it was RC1.. I was on windows ME and very much wanted to get off the buggy platform of windows 98/ME and onto the windows NT platform back then. That was the one the sticks to my memory... there might have been some MP3 files before that but nothing significant. Man does the time fly.

Have not read every post in this thread but it would be cool if we had some real dinosaurs lurking around who could recall their first download being something of a BBS in the late eighties or nineties, hehe. Me myself started of a bit later, but I was hooked on the net from the mid 90's, first download was probably over some direct http link on some warez site, it's impossible to recall this long ago you know.

I think my first download where a Swedish song from a CD called "Rally". But i remember the first DVD i burned and watched on my player here at home. It was "The Terminal" and i remember how awesome it was to burn a DVD with menys and everything, like the "real" deal.
