AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 owners are in luck today, as AT&T is rolling out a firmware update for the device which brings Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean to the device, according to the folks over at XDA developers. The build number of the new update is UCMD8, and can be obtained by checking for the update via Samsung’s Kies software.

Although the full changelog is not available at the moment, the leap from Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean will bring some well welcomed improvements to Galaxy S2 users. Jelly Bean brings numerous bugfixes and speed improvements via Project Butter, and introduces Google Now into the fray.

AT&T hasn’t released the update OTA just yet, although it will more than likely be coming by the end of the week. If you’d like to get Jelly Bean for your Samsung Galaxy S2 now, plug your device into a computer, open up the Samsung Kies software and let the updating begin.
