STORMY Daniels is telling her story in a new memoir titled Full Disclosure.

The porn star, who alleges an affair with US President Donald Trump, announced the book on US network ABC’s The View overnight.

Set to come out on October 2, it will detail her life and legal standoff with the president.

Daniels, who revealed she has been working on the book for 10 years, said “there’s a lot” she has to say, adding “It will blow your minds.”

“I was like, ‘I’m going to write everything and include it — and people can think what they want to about me, but at least it’s the truth’,” Daniels explained.

“It’s going to be a long three weeks before the book comes out for Donald Trump,” her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said in an appearance on The View.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has said she had sex once with Mr Trump in 2006 after a golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, shortly after Melania Trump gave birth to their son Barron.

She was paid $US130,000 ($A181,242 at today’s exchange rate) as part of a hush agreement signed days before the 2016 election and is suing to dissolve the contract.

Mr Trump and his former personal lawyer have sought to end the lawsuit in recent days. Ms Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, opposes dismissing the suit and wants the judge to continue the case.

Daniels recently revealed she broke down crying after hearing that Mr Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen had plead guilty to violating campaign finance laws in an attempt to keep the president’s alleged affairs out of the media.

“I was so overwhelmed I just broke down into sobs,” Daniels said, describing how people had called her a “liar” for months before Cohen’s admission in court.

“So, yes, vindicated. I just felt like all these weights had been lifted off my shoulders.”
