South Korean President Moon Jae-in has offered to broker talks between North Korea and Japan, the presidential office said, as cited by Yonhap news agency. Moon and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held telephone talks to discuss the recent summit between two Koreas at the truce village of Panmunjom on Friday. The South Korean president told Abe that Kim Jong-un is ready to meet the Japanese leader. "President Moon offered to lay a bridge between North Korea and Japan," presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom stated.
