It’s budget night and the Twittersphere has spoken.

Except this time they’re asking the Coalition to keep their money, in response to the Government’s proposed $10.50 a week tax cut for low-to-middle income earners.

The hashtag #keepmytendollars is trending on Twitter with users proposing alternative ways to spend their hard-earned.

So popular was the feed, it spent large portions of the night gaining more traction than the budget itself.

Some want more funding for schools, Medicare, women’s shelters and refugees among a long list suggestions.
