SNOOKER legend Ronnie O’Sullivan has become a grandad at the age of just 42.

The five-time world champ’s daughter Taylor-Ann, 21, gave birth to a baby girl last week.

Ronnie, who has had a stormy relationship with Taylor-Ann, has not yet seen his new granddaughter, friends say.

A close family source said: “Ronnie really wanted to be involved in his granddaughter’s life but hasn’t managed to see her yet.

"The family hope they can get past their past issues.

"He’d be a great grandad.”

Delivery driver Taylor-Ann, whose mum is Ronnie’s ex Sally Ann Magnus, has not yet named her baby, who weighed in at 6lbs.

But pals say they expect her to be called Shakira after the Colombian pop singer.

Ronnie, worth around £8million, was criticised by Taylor-Ann this year in a Sun on Sunday interview for seeing her just ten times in 21 years despite living nearby.

Taylor-Ann, who lives with boyfriend Naiham Chowdhury, 21, in Romford, East London, said: “I’ve given up on my dad.”

But father-of-three Ronnie, who is dating ex-Holby City actress Laila Rouass, 47, later said: “You get one life . . . and she is my daughter.

"It would be nice to be a support.”
