THIS is the shocking moment a teen girl was slapped by a cop during a violent arrest yesterday.

Footage shows the 14-year-old being snared by a male and female officer — who suffered injuries after she bit them during the violent scuffle.

Youngsters are seen pulling at the cops as they are cornered against a shopfront in Accrington, Lancs.

The two Lancashire Constabulary PCs were left needing hospital treatment.

It is unclear if the girl suffered any injuries as she wrestled with the cops.

The harrowing video was seen more than one million times in just three hours after being posted on social media on Monday afternoon.

In it, the girl squirms as a man and woman officer wrestle her.

She appears to be biting the female officer, prompting a violent reaction from the man, who pushes her head back into the shutter.

A gang of teens can be heard shouting for them to get off the girl.

Another says: "Watch these two lose their jobs after this."

They can be heard mocking the cops for not being able to cuff the girl, with one saying: "You're a fully grown man and you can't get a little girl still."

Two more female officers then appear to control the crowd and ask the girl's name as the hooded teens

A spokesman for Lancashire Constabulary said: "We are aware of a video circulating on social media which shows a young woman being restrained by officers in Accrington town centre.

"As a result of this incident, one officer sustained a bite wound to her arm and another suffered a cut to his head.

"They have both attended hospital for treatment.

"A 14-year-old girl and a 52-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and are currently in custody.

"We understand this footage may appear concerning, however officers are trained to use restraint techniques which may look shocking to untrained onlookers.

"A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident will take place in due course."
