South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will meet at 9:30 am local time (1:30 GMT) on Friday, Moon's chief of staff has announced. The leaders will meet at the demarcation line that separates the two Koreas, running through the center of a demilitarized zone. The summit, the first of its kind since 2007, will kick off an hour later in the border village of Panmunjom. Kim and Moon will then have lunch separately, plant a symbolic pine tree at the demarcation line and sit down for the second round of talks. When that is concluded, they are expected to sign a pact and make a joint announcement.
