Santa Claus blasts Donald Trump for hinting that he doesn’t exist

SANTA Claus yesterday hit back at Donald Trump — after the US President hinted that the big man did not exist.

Speaking to The Sun from the North Pole, Father Christmas took Trump to task for spreading Fake News.

The president suggested to a girl of seven that Old Saint Nick was make-believe while manning the Norad Santa Tracker hotline on Christmas Eve.

He said to the girl called Collman, from Lexington, South Carolina: “Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at seven it’s marginal, right?”

Luckily, she revealed afterwards that she did not know what Donald Trump meant by “marginal”.

Just pleased to speak to Trump, she said: “I was like: ‘wow.’ I was shocked.”

But Santa — who had just returned from delivering gifts around the globe — told us: “What does this Donald Trump mean when he asks if a girl ‘still’ believes in me?

“My existence is beyond dispute. There are thousands of pictures of me taken all over the world as I meet with children and find out what they would like for Christmas.”

Trump made the blunder while answering children’s’ calls to Norad — which is a White House tradition for presidents.

Norad (the North American Aerospace Defense Command) has tracked Santa’s journey on Christmas Eve since 1955. But for Trump, 72, who invented the term “Fake News” in 2016, it was another case of him actually spreading it — rather than Christmas cheer.

Last night, Collman stated that the President hadn't rocked her faith in Santa, telling reporters: "I just had to think of what the truth was."

First Lady Melania Trump, 48, who was sat beside her husband and also taking calls, could not believe what he told the youngster.

She told one caller that at that moment Santa was in the Sahara, but would be delivering gifts in their region soon.
