SPORTS car enthusiasts look away now. Footage has emerged of a woman totalling a $800,000 Ferrari 458 just moments after renting it in China.

In the video, the driver can be seen losing control in slippery conditions before careening through a safety barrier and into oncoming traffic.

The Italian sports car smashes into a BMW 4x4 which then hits a Nissan sedan, causing a traffic jam in Wenling, an eastern Chinese coastal town.

Close-up footage gives viewers a better idea of the completely mangled state of the car, despite what appeared to be a relatively low-speed collision.

Minutes before the crash, the woman could be heard praising the supercar while sitting at a traffic light filming the dashboard.

“First time driving a Ferrari. This truly is the most amazing feeling,” she says.

The video was uploaded to Facebook, where users suggested the woman may have accidentally turned off the vehicle’s traction control.

While it’s unknown whether or not the driver was insured, an estimated $400,000 will be needed to repair the Ferrari .
