FANS of The Simpsons, here’s one to add to your travel bucket lists.

The Kwik-E-Mart, the show’s iconic convenience store run by Apu, has just opened in real-life and it’s going to take your lifelong Simpsons obsession to a whole new level.

Not only does the store look exactly like it does in the TV show, it’s selling all the iconic Simpsons snacks — like Buzz Cola, Duff Beer, Lard Lad doughnuts, heat-lamp hotdogs and even the good old Squishee.

The store opened over the weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

And while that’s a bit of a trek for Australian fans of The Simpsons, once you’re there you can stock up on a massive range of merchandise.

And this is no pop-up — the real-life Kwik-E-Mart is going to be a permanent fixture.

Fans who have already visited the store have flooded social media with reports of what it’s like inside.

And the attention to detail is extraordinary.

Mark Cornell, the senior vice president of attractions development at simEx-Iwerks Entertainment, the company behind the store, said this was a world-first.

“This is the first, world’s first authentic Kwik-E-Mart,” he told South Carolina’s WMBF news. “Every inch of this store is themed, including bringing products to life.

“The products that are on the show, you can actually come and experience in the store first-hand. Sort of like getting a taste of the show.”

And that’s not all.

The company is also building a real-life Aztec Theatre — another iconic location in The Simpsons — which will be next door to the real-life Kwik-E-Mart and due to open later this year.
