PROTESTS over Brunei’s harsh new anti-LGBT laws spread yesterday as more companies shunned the country.

Transport For London removed tourism ads promoting the South East Asian state.

Deutsche Bank, estate agent Knight Frank, property groups Landsec and Movers and Shakers said they would not use its nine Dorchester Collection hotels worldwide.

Stars led by Sir Elton John and George Clooney have also called for a boycott.

STA Travel will no longer sell flights on Royal Brunei Airlines.

Brunei has said LGBT people can be stoned to death after the ruling Sultan called for “stronger” Islamic teachings.

A protest was held ate the Dorchester in London’s Mayfair, which shut down social media accounts.

British Airways also fears being dragged into the row. It plugs the Collection’s wine-tasting events on its website, and staff at its Heathrow Concorde Lounge work with customer service experts at the Dorchester.

A source told The Sun such partnerships incensed crew, many of whom are gay.

The Dorchester Collection yesterday stressed its values were “far removed from the politics of ownership”.
