About LinkBacksPRINCE William’s wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, has given birth to a boy.
He weighed in at 8 pounds and 7 ounces.
The birth happened at 11.01am local time.
Prince William was present for the birth.
Kensington Palace tweeted that “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well”.
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
William and Kate married in 2011 and have two other children: Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, who turns three next week.
