Two popular travel vloggers and one of the men’s girlfriends have died at a Canadian tourist hotspot after plunging 30 metres in a waterfall accident.

Ryker Gamble and Alexey Lyakh, of the popular YouTube travel report High on Life SundayFundayz, died along with Lyakh’s girlfriend Megan Scraper on Tuesday while climbing Shannon Falls in British Columbia.

Corporal Sascha Banks of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said the victims were aged in their 20s and 30s.

The trio had hiked up Shannon Falls and went in one of the pool systems to swim, the Vancouver Sun reports.

But when Scraper slipped and fell, her two companions tried to save her but were all swept into the waters 30 metres below.

Authorities on Wednesday launched a hazardous operation to recover the bodies.

Gamble was a regular vlogger for High on Life SundayFundayz – a collective of travel enthusiasts from around the world - which has more than a million followers on Instagram.

The group attempted to inspire followers to “embrace all of life’s opportunities with a positive outlook and energy.”

Tributes to the trio were posted on social media.

“The world has lost a great human being with the passing of Ryker Gamble. Your bright personality will be greatly missed,” one person posted on Facebook.

“May you have many adventures where you are now,” another wrote.

In 2016, Gamble, Lyakh and another group member, Justis Price Brown, were fined and jailed for a week after their out-of-bounds hike to a hot spring in Yellowstone National Park in the US.
