MOSCOW, March 13 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. The risks for gas transit to Europe during the termination of contracts between Gazprom and Naftogaz will not be if Ukraine does not illegally take away gas, said Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

"There is currently no risk to the transit of gas to Europe through the territory of Ukraine, unless, of course, there is unauthorized selection by Naftogaz of Ukraine," Miller said.

The Stockholm arbitration in December and February ruled on the disputes between Gazprom and Naftogaz regarding contracts for the supply and transit of gas, respectively, obliging the Russian company to pay Ukrainian 2.56 billion dollars. Gazprom said that these decisions created an imbalance in favor of Naftogaz, which, on the one hand, appeals against them, on the other hand - intends to terminate the contracts themselves through the same court.
