A BODY has been discovered in the search for missing Telegraph journalist Florence Waters after she vanished from her Oxford home on Monday.
Thames Valley Police found the body on land near Oxford Road, Thame, last night.
Formal identification is yet to take place, but officers have informed Ms Waters' next of kin and they are being supported by specially trained officers.
Thames Valley police said: “Officers have located a body in Thame this evening, which is believed to be that of missing Florence Waters."
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared by the coroner.
The Arts writer went missing from a house in Osney, Oxford, at around 9am.
Launching the search for Ms Waters, police said they were concerned for her safety as they appealed for information.
Ms Waters had been a regular freelance contributor to the arts pages of the Daily Telegraph.
Also an accomplished artist — her works are currently on sale on a Saachi & Saachi art forum.
She lived in the Botley area of the city which is close to the River Thames.
According to her social media accounts, Ms Waters has been a Telegraph arts correspondent since 2012 and was previously the Daily Telegraph's Online Arts Editor.
