The police identified the suspects in the poisoning of Sergei Skripal, the media reported
MOSCOW, July 19 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. The British police believe that a former employee of the GRU, Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia in Salisbury, were poisoned by several people and that the natives of Russia are involved in this, the British media wrote.
Earlier, the Daily Mail reported with reference to a source in intelligence reported that the poisoning could be carried out by a group of six people, the "key position" in which the woman occupied.
"The source told the agency that the investigation believes that it identified the suspects guilty of attacking Sergei Skripal," the agency's press release said on Twitter.
"Investigators are sure that the suspects are Russian," the ITV television channel reported citing Press Associates. They also noted that several people were involved in the poisoning. The investigation used records from CCTV cameras and data on those who arrived in the country around this time, the media specified.
The case of Sergei Skripal
On March 4, in Salisbury, according to the British authorities, the former GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned, which provoked a major international scandal. In London, they said that the Russian state is involved in poisoning, Moscow categorically denies this.
The Russian side repeatedly demanded access to the investigation and the injured citizens. The British authorities ignored all requests.
Former British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, accusing Russia, called "evidence" of her guilt "staggering." However, the charges turned out to be false: the head of the secret laboratory of the British Ministry of Defense stated that the experts could not establish the origin of the substance, which, according to the British side, had poisoned Sergei Skripal.
In mid-May, the ex-GRU officer left the hospital, his daughter was discharged in mid-April. She said that she would return to Russia.
