A six-year-old girl has been rushed to Perth Children’s Hospital after being hit by a car on a busy road in Booragoon.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said her injuries were not life-threatening. The girl was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital and then transferred to Perth Children’s Hospital.

Police said details on what happened were not yet clear.

Traffic is heavy on Riseley Street, near Leach Highway. The southbound lanes are closed.

The crash happened near the intersection of Riseley Street with Allerton Way and Leece Place about 10.30am today.
