ONE of Britain’s most dangerous paedophiles has been turned down for parole after it emerged he was caught with DVDs featuring kids in his prison cell.

Alan Hopkinson, 64, also kept newspaper photographs of girls in ballet dresses and sportswear.

The former soldier is serving nine life sentences at Yorkshire’s Full Sutton prison for the 1999 kidnap and rape of two ten-year-old girls in Hastings, East Sussex.

But a parole board report said he collected material relating to children and had “little insight into why this might be considered risky”.

His victims, Charlene Lunnon and Lisa Hoodless, waived their anonymity to write a book.

In a Facebook post they said: “Alan Hopkinson didn’t get parole — he will try again in 2 years. What a joke.”
