A STUDENT nurse who found her car vandalised after she finished her shift left an angry note for the culprits insisting she works for the NHS for FREE.

The unnamed 22-year-old, who is working at Royal Preston Hospital in Lancashire, claims she was parked legally when her car was damaged last week.

She then left a furious message to vandals telling them that she cannot afford a parking permit because she does not earn any money – despite working full time, reports Lancs Live.

The note read: "I am a student. I work 37.5 hours a week for YOUR NHS for FREE.

"I cannot afford a permit because of this.

"I am legally parked.

"Please do not vandalise my car again!"

It is unclear how her car was damaged.

The note was later posted on social media and went viral sparking dozens of comments from other NHS staff.

Other nurses claim there tyres had been let down or slashed while some said their motors had been scratched.

One student staff member was left facing a bill of up to £400 when a cone was wedged underneath her car – damaging the vehicle.

Student nurses are not given parking passes to Royal Preston Hospital.

Lancashire County Council recently revealed that some roads near the medical facility will soon have parking restrictions in place.

This follows a number of complaints from locals in the Fulwood area that staff and visitors to the hospital are leaving their cars in unsuitable locations on their streets.

Karen Partington, chief exec of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: "We realise that the parking arrangements at our hospitals are far from ideal and affect our staff as well as cause frustration for local residents, but these sorts of incidents are completely unacceptable.
