A MUM whose 16-year-old daughter ran off with her 57-year-old husband today branded her "a monster" - and claims she threatened to run her over in an Aldi car park showdown.

Ann Watkins, 54, was devastated when her daughter Sarah, now 28, shacked up with her husband David Hargreaves, now 69, in 2007.

The couple allegedly admitted the affair in an explosive row in the family kitchen after Ann finally confronted her daughter on her long-held fears.

Despite her heartbreak, the mum-of-four offered forgiveness four years later when the pair had twins - but the relationship soon soured.

Tensions came to a head in an Aldi car park in Ebbw Vale, South Wales last year.

Ann claimed to police that Sarah had threatened to hit her and had driven at her in a furious showdown.

Sarah denies the allegations.

Ann, who has another daughter called Tara, told The Sun Online: "I saw her in March last year when I was shopping for my elderly mother in Aldi.

“I came out of the store and saw Sarah with her kids in the car park. I thought about walking away but I went over.

“Sarah went crazy and started shouting and screaming at me like a raving lunatic.

“She threatened to hit me.

"With that, she got behind the wheel and revved the engine hard"

Ann later told police that Sarah had threatened to "run her over".

The mother also claimed her daughter drove her car towards her, leaving her terrified she was going to be hit.

Ann said: "I had a walking stick because I suffer from arthritis and a shopping trolley but somehow I just managed to get out of the way as it roared past."

Sarah, who this week flaunted her 41-year age gap relationship with her stepdad on TV, denies the claims and police took no further action.

The mum believes Sarah's affair with David began while she was away from home looking after her older daughter, Tara, who was having a baby.

It was in 2007 and Ann had travelled 50 miles from the family's Ebbw Vale home to be at Tara's side in Swansea.

But Ann did not discover the awful truth of her husband's affair with her daughter - David's step-daughter - until three months later during one of many rows with the teenager.

She said: “David would drive her everywhere – she never wanted me to – and friends and relatives even joked they were ‘like an old married couple’.

“It started getting more noticeable and I was feeling shut out of my marriage, so I decided to talk to her and one night, when David was supposed to be giving her a lift I said I was driving her instead.

"Sarah flew into a terrible tantrum. She went absolutely nuts and was shouting that she wanted David to take her. I stood my ground and suddenly she turned to David and spat ‘You’ve got 24 hours to tell her or I will.’

“That’s when I knew. David denied it all at first but eventually he admitted it.

“I was devastated."

And now she has to suffer the pain of her heartbreak all over again as her daughter and ex - who run a bouncy castle firm together - flaunt their relationship on TV.

The pair appeared on Channel 5 show Age Gap Love this week to tell how they met when Sarah was just 14 — the day before he married her mum.

Sarah had been living with her dad in Portsmouth at the time, before a spell in foster care, so only met David during the wedding celebrations.

Four years later, the couple tied the knot themselves at a registry office - and the rest of the family disowned them.

In a bizarre twist, the family all posed for a fake wedding photo with Sarah as a bride around a year before the couple got together.

It was a promotional shot for a bridal wear business Ann was running at the time.
Sarah is now planning to renew her vows with her stepdad to mark their 10th anniversary.

Ann said: “Seeing her and David on TV has brought back such painful memories. Seeing him and hearing his voice literally made me feel sick.

“As for Sarah, I mourn for the lively girl I lost. It’s like the Sarah I loved died when she was aged around 12 and turned in to this monster.

“It is just too sad to think about too much, though of course I do all the time.”

Ann says David was the fourth older man Sarah took a shine to.

She said: “She used to develop obsessions for these older men.

“She is a nightmare.”

Earlier this month we told how a 47-year-old bus driver ran off with a 16-year-old girl — after his wife's son allegedly caught the pair romping in their home.
Samantha Marshall, 36, claimed her eight-year-old boy spilled the beans after walking in on the couple in the living room.

Ex-partner Andy Telford was accused of being a "paedo" by neighbours after being caught snogging the young teen.

Samantha told The Sun Online how the couple - who also starred in Age Gap Love - left her embarrassed and humiliated.

Andy and Beth, now 20, went on to marry in 2016 and fled Llandudno, North Wales, to start a new life in Nelson, Lancs.
